Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, commonly referred to as SpaceX, was founded in 2002.  SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. Their goal is to reduce the cost of space travel and eventually colonize Mars.  There is much competition leading to the start of the Kessler Syndrome.
