SP is a free chrome extension to rank topics and posts you find interesting, much like the current merit system.
It does not require any registration, and works as a guest or bitcointalk member.
It does not track any PII (IP address, location, etc), nor does it use cookies.
It does not read page HTML - only reads the URL if it begins with "https://bitcointalk.org".
(The extension uses DOM appendChild() to add HTML at the end of the page).
It provides cheat resistance and accelerated trending.
It provides useful bitcoin information such as current price, minute trends and hour change.
We plan to add customization for this information.It provides advanced bitcointalk search access from any bitcointalk page.

How It Works
Votes are Category specific (Board, Topic or Post) Profile votes are proxy through Post and Topic votes.
Every twenty votes you may vote:
once for (1,2 and 9,10)
twice for (3,8)
unlimited for the average (4,5,6,7).
Votes will auto correct (you will notice) towards the median (5.5). If there is no room, a new Vote (ex: 10) will make the oldest 10 vote a 9 vote, and if needed the oldest 9 vote to an 8 vote, etc. It's best to rate a number of average posts before you rate the ones you like the best. You can re vote as many times as you like.
After you vote , the votes are summed and divided by the number of voters to get the average vote. The rankings are recalculated every minute. ShadowPulse provides reports based on your member ID, which is the only thing we track.
Your member id can change in a number of situations (reinstalling the extension, loading in incognito mode, etc) and if this happens you will see a highlighted ABOUT link to remind you to check your settings. Maintaining a consistent member id is only important if you want to preserve previous votes.
Members that have not visited a bitcointalk page in six months will have their votes removed. While cycling through member ids may allow you to boost a rating if not detected by our abuse tools, it will only be temporary.
